In short

BSTO supports everyone who wants to realize progress in business. We are there for you when it comes to the development of your organization, the team in/with which you work and your personal development. Together we aim for the same result: a positive, healthy and productive work climate. A climate where strong leadership results in better organizational performance, high performing teams work together and skilled, committed and sustainably deployable employees are actively contributing to the overall success. BSTO offers organizational consulting, in-company training and coaching. We work internationally and in both Dutch and English.

Who do we work for?

We like to work for and with organizations that have a strong desire to grow and develop their teams, management and employees. BSTO works for both corporate organizations and SMEs and are active in various sectors. Among other fields, we have knowledge of the industrial, construction, technical and manufacturing industry, engineering, municipalities, (semi-) government, commercial-business services, finance and ICT. In addition, BSTO is often asked by boards, team managers, HR business partners, L&D advisors and in-company academies to provide tailor-made programs.

BSTO has international reach and significant experience in providing English-language training courses for various nationalities. During these programs, we served clients and participants from, among others, Belgium, Austria, Germany and South America.

By who?

I am Bob Smits (The Hague, 1980), founder and director of Bob Smits Training & Development (BSTO). I like to combine my background in policy and organizational science, commercial economics and psychology in the execution of BSTO programs. I strongly believe that behaviour is largely determined by its context. Especially in this current time full of dynamics and change, I see that this influence is significant among my customers. In training and coaching, I therefore not only look at individual behaviour, leadership and communication, but also always place this in the perspective and context of the position, the team or the organization around it.

With more than 14 years of experience in the field of organizational consulting and training and business education, I have learned that (behavioral) change cannot be taken for granted. And real change only happens when an organization provides a supportive context and suitable work climate. As a partner in business, I regularly discuss this with clients, boards and managers. In these discussions, I rigorously analyze and work to thoroughly understand situations before moving quickly to take practical steps forward.

With this, I achieve what I prefer doing – to help people progress in business and work together to achieve desired results. BSTO has a rich team, and around it a network of skilled consultants, coaches and trainers. Together we proudly provide various BSTO training, coaching and consulting programs.
